
South Fayette High School Drama Club will present "Babes in Toyland and Other Family Favorites" on Saturday, December 6 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, December 7 at 2:30 p.m. in the high school theatre. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Saturday, November 22 from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. at the high school box office. All seating is general admission. Tickets are $4 for adults/teens and $2 for children 12 years and under.
The South Fayette Future Business Leaders of America are proud to sponsor the 2008 Stuff-A-Bus Toy Drive. Help the members of FBLA stuff a school bus full of new and unwrapped toys. These toys will be given to underprivileged children for the holidays. The toy drive is taking place at South Fayette High School on November 18-19 and December 2-3 and 9-10 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. The goal is to have one school bus entirely "stuffed" by the end of the drive. South Fayette School District is proud to announce that sixth grade teacher and team leader Kristin Deichler has been selected to receive the 2008 Pennsylvania Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development Outstanding Young Educator Award.
The Millers Run Road bridge at Sygan Road will be under construction for one year beginning October 13, 2008. If schedules for buses and routes are permanently affected during this time period, parents of individual students will be notified. Please be patient during the initial closing as delays may occur. Starting with the 2008-2009 sports season, physical evaluations will no longer be adequate for a calendar year, but for the school year only. All physicals must be dated after June 1, 2008, by all athletes and cheerleaders for the 2008-2009 season. Click here to read additional information.
The Allegheny County Health Department has informed all school districts located within the county that there will be new immunization regulations for the beginning of the 2008-09 school year. These regulations will affect all students in grades K – 12. Click here for detailed information.
2007-2008 marks the beginning of the South Fayette Alumni Association (SFAA). The graduating class of 2008 will mark the 80th anniversary of graduation ceremonies for the district. From Lafayette School’s first graduation class of 13 (on record) to the 156 graduates of the 2007 class of South Fayette High School our alumni roster exceed 6,700+.
